This is a hands-on position where team members help with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the store. Applicants should be comfortable working with customers, animals, heavy feed and hay, and performing both indoor and outdoor work.

Schedule:

20 to 39 hours per week

Availability:

Open availability required, including weekends and afternoons

Wage:

$16.90/hr, paid weekly Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting customers with questions and purchases related to animal feed, pet supplies, and other store products Carrying and loading bags of feed, hay bales, and other merchandise for customers Feeding and caring for store animals Cleaning animal cages, enclosures, and feeding areas Handling animals, rodents, insects, and other live feed sold or cared for in the store Receiving, counting, stocking, and organizing inventory Keeping shelves and merchandise stocked and organized General cleaning and organization throughout the store Cleaning and maintaining restrooms Cleaning and maintaining the parking lot and surrounding store property when necessary Assisting with parking lot traffic direction during weekend vaccination clinics Performing other duties as needed to maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficiently operating store Requirements Applicants must: Be able to lift and carry up to 120 lbs. Be comfortable regularly performing physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and loading merchandise Be comfortable handling rodents and insects, including mice, rats, and crickets Be comfortable working around a variety of animals including chicks, ducklings, birds, quails, guinea pigs, etc. Have open availability, including weekends and afternoons Be bilingual in English and Spanish Be dependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Be able to work independently as well as part of a team Provide friendly and helpful customer service This is a general store position, and team members are expected to assist with all areas of store operations as needed.
