$17.48/hour + DOE Summary The Thrift Store Clerk gives support to the thrift store staff, taking direction from management to aid the shift coordinators and cashier with various tasks throughout the store. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works as an effective member of the thrift store team.
Assists with donation receiving:
helping unload donations after they have been approved by retail associate, put donations in appropriate locations in the processing area.
Assists with donation processing:
tagging, hanging, disposing of recycle, trash and cardboard as directed. Assists with maintaining departmental cleanliness by satisfactorily accomplishing numerous daily cleaning assignments throughout the store including, but not limited to vacuuming and dusting, straightening racks and sweeping areas around the building. Operates cash register, filling in at cash register as needed, including but not limited to covering the cash register for lunch and breaks. Makes change and issues receipt to customer. Assists with regular checks of go back rack, returning merchandise to appropriate racks on the sales floor. Assists with packing and storing product for sale in future seasons, marking boxes to reflect season. Assists with moving pack and hold products to and from storage. Cleans and organizes storage area as needed. Assists with loading and unloading the van. Puts price tags on books and hanger. Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
