Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons that fit their needs and budgets. You'll process sales and rental agreements, support merchandising and inventory, and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store. Working in our collaborative, education-focused culture, you'll help grow music participation in the community while developing your skills in retail, sales, and customer engagement. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support to students, parents, and educators for instruments, rentals, lessons, and accessories Drive sales to meet or exceed store revenue and performance goals Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments accurately in POS systems Maintain product displays, merchandising standards, and store cleanliness Assist with inventory receiving, stocking, and cycle counts Educate customers on financing, rental programs, and protection plans Support community outreach events and school service initiatives as needed Collaborate with store team to ensure a friendly, inclusive, service-focused environment Resolve basic customer issues and escalate complex concerns to store leadership Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, and music education offerings Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product merchandising Inventory management Instrument and accessory knowledge Rental program processing Communication Time management
