OVERVIEW

The Meat & Seafood Team Member will ensure that the department in our market is fully and beautifully stocked with the highest quality meats and seafood in Denver. They play an essential role in delivering excellence and consistency in service to our customers each day by actively engaging with them, providing assistance, and making recommendations. While experience is always appreciated, we hire for attitude and aptitude while training for excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Provides best in class customer service, meat and seafood preparation recommendations as well as food and wine pairing recommendations Assists customers questions with the basics of a variety of proteins from production methods to preparation. Stocks, rotates, signs and merchandises poultry, pork, lamb, beef, frozen products, and seafood Prepares Market Made items by following recipes so that they are delicious, beautiful, fresh, and of high value to the customer Understands the flow of business and can appropriately communicate staffing, product, and training needs to the General Manager Monitors and guarantees sanitation, appearance, and cleanliness of the department and ensures that department equipment is kept in good working order and properly maintained Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all food and work safety guidelines as mandated by local and state health departments as well as Marczyks food and work safety policies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to repetitively lift 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time Constant arm, hand, wrist motion, and standing Comfortable with handling knives and box cutters
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in Meat & Seafood Counter, Restaurant Food Prep, and/or Customer Service preferred Prior experience with knives and other food prep equipment preferred Demonstrated excellence in product presentation, merchandising, and selling Ability to easily engage and interact with the public by providing the best customer experience Basic knowledge of meat and seafood products and how to prepare them Ability to work quickly, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated problem solving skills in a fast-paced customer-oriented work environment Able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Prioritizes tasks appropriately and can re-prioritize with ease Excellent verbal and written communication Able to work effectively within a diverse group of people
