This role is ideal for someone who can build high‑quality pieces from real hardwoods, lead a team, and bring creative problem‑solving to a wide range of custom projects. This is a hands‑on leadership position with long‑term stability and growth.
Position:
Shop Lead / Master Woodworker What You'll Do Lead daily shop operations and oversee production workflow Build custom wood products, including furniture, architectural elements, specialty pieces, and cabinetry Work with real hardwoods and high‑end materials (no particle board work) Train, mentor, and support junior woodworkers Solve production challenges and maintain exceptional quality standards Manage priorities, deadlines, and project sequencing Collaborate on unique, one‑off builds and creative custom projects Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Perform additional duties as assigned Required Experience 10+ years of professional woodworking craftsmanship Experience in furniture making, custom builds, or architectural woodworking (not just cabinet assembly) Strong leadership skills and ability to guide a team Ability to work independently on complex, high‑precision builds Reliable, upbeat, and committed to quality Must have your own vehicle Must pass a background check and drug screen Tools & Machinery You Must Be Skilled In Core Machinery Table Saw Jointer Planer Surfacing Planer Compound Miter Saw Bandsaw Drill Press Router & Router Table Dust Collection Systems Power Hand Tools Drill & Impact Driver Random Orbital Sander Jigsaw Track Saw or Circular Saw Grinder Essential Hand Tools Chisels (bench & mortise) Measuring & marking tools Hand saws (pull saws, backsaws) Hand planes (block & smoothing) Mallet & hammer Rasps & files Workholding & Safety Clamps (bar, F‑clamps, C‑clamps, pipe clamps) Eye, ear, and dust protection Additional Equipment Air compressor & nail gun Hours & Compensation Full time | Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM $30
