2944809706-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Patterson is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Tax Clerk II to support our wholesale dental and animal health distribution operations. In this role, you will process sales and use tax transactions, validate tax rates, reconcile tax accounts, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual filings. You'll research tax discrepancies, maintain exemption certificates, and support audits to ensure compliance across multiple states. Working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, you'll partner with finance and operations teams and gain exposure to complex, multi-jurisdiction tax requirements. Responsibilities Process and validate sales and use tax for multi-state transactions Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns Reconcile sales tax general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies Maintain and update tax rates and exemption certificates in systems Support internal and external sales tax audits with accurate documentation Research tax questions and variances across jurisdictions Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure tax compliance Maintain organized, accurate records for all tax-related activities Assist with process improvements to increase tax reporting efficiency Ensure adherence to Patterson's integrity and compliance standards Required Skills Sales and use tax compliance Tax return preparation Account reconciliation ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) Tax rate validation and research Exemption certificate management Data entry and accuracy Multi-state tax regulations Audit support documentation
