Job Summary:

We are seeking Liquor Store Sales Associates to join our team at Hilltop Beverage. As a Sales Associate in a liquor store, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in their beverage selections, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are knowledgeable about alcoholic beverages and passionate about ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Offer product recommendations and provide information about different types of alcoholic beverages. Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively. Verify customer identification for age-restricted purchases.

Sales:

Ring up sales accurately and efficiently using the cash register. Promote in-store specials and upsell products when appropriate. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and provide change as needed.

Stock Management:

Maintain a well-organized store layout by arranging products on shelves and displays. Restock merchandise and ensure that shelves are adequately filled. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to the store manager.

Store Maintenance:

Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and free from safety hazards. Perform regular store cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Keep the checkout area and counters clean and organized.

Compliance:

Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Verify that customers meet age requirements for purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Security:

Monitor store premises for suspicious activities and report any security concerns to the manager. Assist in preventing theft and maintaining store security.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus. Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including different types of liquor, beer, and wine. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and multitasking abilities. Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register. Must be of legal drinking age according to local regulations.

Work Schedule:

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays will be required to accommodate the store's operating hours.
