This position is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, comfortable working with customers, and willing to help keep our retail areas clean, stocked, and running smoothly. Depending on the day's needs, employees may work inside the Farm Stand or at the Pick-Your-Own Ticket Booth. Farm Stand Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service. Operate the point-of-sale/register system and process customer purchases. Assist customers with questions about apple varieties, orchard products, and Pick-Your-Own. Set up the Farm Stand before opening and assist with closing procedures. Stock and restock apples, cider, baked goods, merchandise, bags, and other products. Keep displays organized, attractive, and properly replenished. Maintain a clean retail environment, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, removing trash, and general cleaning. Pick-Your-Own Ticket Booth Responsibilities Welcome guests arriving for Pick-Your-Own. Explain PYO procedures, pricing, and orchard guidelines. Sell bags/tickets and process payments. Provide information about available apple varieties and picking locations. Direct customers to tractor rides, orchard entrances, and other areas. Keep the ticket booth and surrounding area organized. Communicate with Farm Stand and orchard staff and help manage customer flow during busy periods.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Friendly and comfortable speaking with customers, dependable, organized, able to work independently when necessary, and willing to stay productive during slower periods by stocking, cleaning, or preparing for the next rush. Retail or customer-service experience is helpful but not required. Physical & Work Expectations This position involves standing, walking, bending, stocking, and light-to-moderate lifting. Employees should be comfortable being on their feet for much of their shift and working both indoors and outdoors depending on assignment.
