Plantsville, CT Job Details Seasonal $17.50 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Outdoor work experience Full Job Description Position Summary The Mountain Ambassador will be one of the first smiles our guests see in the morning, and one of the last friendly faces they encounter as they leave. They will share their enthusiasm for the mountain by answering questions and providing phenomenal guest service. It is the goal of a Mountain Ambassador to create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere that keeps our community coming back season after season. Key Responsibilities Greet guests with a smile and assist with check-in procedures Help guests navigate the different areas of the mountain including, but not limited to, customer service, rentals, lesson areas, race areas, lift lines, and ski trails Proactively prevent issues by anticipating guest needs and providing timely assistance Serve as liaison between the main office and the guest Share your love and knowledge of the mountain and mountain programs with guests Offer a helping hand wherever it is needed - including helping with special events Encourage guest adherence to mountain policies on the mountain including, but not limited to, the gate, the lift line, and on the mountain Spread good vibes and help make every visit to Mount Southington memorable Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period Complete all required training as determined by mountain leadership Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys talking and engaging with people Knowledge of Mount Southington or willingness to learn - knowledge included, but not limited to, trails, lifts, features, buildings, programs, and history Able to ski or snowboard and speak about mountain and trail conditions Knowledge of area surrounding Mount Southington Flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, and peak season hours Must be eligible to work in the United States Successful completion of background check Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in varying winter weather conditions Ability to walk, stand and navigate snow-covered, icy, uneven, and changing terrain and surface conditions Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$17.50/hour
