Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers! You'll be the friendly face that greets shoppers, assists with their purchases, and ensures they leave with a smile. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help drive sales while maintaining the highest standards of customer service in our grocery store environment. What you'll do Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions and handle cash accurately. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, answering their questions, and offering product recommendations. Demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer knowledge and drive sales through upselling techniques. Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Supervise junior staff members, ensuring they adhere to company policies while fostering a positive team environment. Utilize strong communication skills to handle phone inquiries professionally and assist customers with their needs. Perform basic math calculations for accurate cash handling and retail math tasks during transactions. Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all shoppers. Basic qualifications Proven experience in cashiering or retail sales within a grocery store setting. Preferred qualifications Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. Previous experience in supervising or training staff is highly desirable. Familiarity with product demonstrations and merchandising strategies is beneficial.
