Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shop Supply Room Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be receiving, organizing, issuing, and tracking tools, parts, materials, and supplies used in a railroad construction maintenance and repair. The role focuses on keeping inventory accurate and ensuring maintainence and construction crews have the equipment, tools and supplies they need to do their jobs efficiently. Responsibilities Receiving shipments and verifying quantities against purchase orders. Organizing inventory in the supply room or warehouse. Issuing tools, equipment, and materials to crews. Performing routine/regular maintenance on small engine tools. Maintaining inventory records using manual logs and/or inventory software. Conducting cycle counts and physical inventories. Reordering supplies when stock reaches minimum levels. Inspecting incoming materials for damage or discrepancies. Keeping the supply room clean, organized, and safe. Assisting with shipping, returns, and vendor deliveries. Experience Valid drivers license. Repairs on small engine equipment. Repairs on tools. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, especially with inventory management systems, we use Sage Contractor. Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities. Ability to lift and move supplies (often up to 25-50 lbs). Use of equipment (Bankhoe, Loader, Skidsteer, and Forklift) Good communication and customer service skills when supporting shop personnel.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
