Convenience Store Clerk Location:

Chiefland Area Position Overview This position works under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to perform cashiering, customer service, cleaning, stocking, and inventory tasks in a retail environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide courteous and professional customer service to all customers. Perform front-end cashier duties, including operating the cash register/POS system, fuel management systems, and any related equipment. Process payments, including cash, check, credit card, or applicable charge accounts. Issue receipts and dispense change accurately. Maintain cleanliness of the stores interior and exterior areas. Check in deliveries and restock shelves, displays, and cooler as needed. Complete required documentation for opening and closing procedures. Maintain accurate cigarette and lottery inventory counts. Prepare items for delivery when applicable. Assist customers in locating products throughout the store. Perform duties that may require standing and walking for extended periods. Lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Bend, reach, and stoop to stock shelves, clean, and perform other job tasks as necessary. Handle merchandise, cleaning materials, equipment, and cash transactions. Communicate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers. Work in varying temperature environments as required by job tasks. Perform duties under minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail or cash-handling experience is beneficial but not required. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position. Employer conducts pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation:

Starting at $14.00 per hour.
