General Manager Position Overview:
The Pro Shop is the central hub of our 100-acre outdoor shooting facility. The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, a strong foundational knowledge of firearms, and the ability to deliver top-tier customer service in a busy retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Check-In:
Welcome all guests, process electronic waivers, explain range rules, and assign shooting bays or clay fields.
Retail Sales:
Assist customers with selecting and purchasing firearms, ammunition, eye/ear protection, and shooting accessories.
Merchandising & Inventory:
Maintain a clean, well-stocked retail showroom. Receive deliveries, price items, and assist with regular inventory counts.
  • Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
  • Tickets, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales.
  • Inventory stock and requisition new stock.
  • Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns.
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
  • Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
  • Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
  • Maintain records related to sales.
Safety Enforcement:
Maintain a working knowledge of all Range Safety Officer (RSO) protocols to ensure guests understand and follow safe firearm handling practices.
Facility Coordination:
Communicate with the range floor, gunsmiths, and Clays/Operations managers to coordinate guest needs and ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Age:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience:
1 year of experience in retail sales, customer service, or the sporting/firearms industry
REQUIRED
Background Check:
Must be able to legally own and possess firearms under Federal and State law.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with various shooting disciplines (Rifle, Pistol, Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays) is highly preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to (50) lbs.
Certifications:
NRA RSO certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification through the facility's courses). High school or Equivalent Must be Authorized to work in the UNITED STATES
