Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Appliance Store Associate and become the friendly face of our retail environment! In this energetic role, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect appliances to meet their needs, demonstrate product features, and provide exceptional service that keeps shoppers coming back. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will help drive sales and create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel confident and valued. You will be answering the phones and scheduling service calls for our technicians and working with our delivery team scheduling the sold appliances. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop retail skills, enhance your sales expertise, and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to customer satisfaction. Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their appliance needs through active listening and engaging conversation Conduct product demonstrations to showcase appliance features, benefits, and usage tips Assist customers with selecting appliances by providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences and budgets Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance Upsell additional products, warranties, or accessories to maximize sales opportunities Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and highlight featured products Stock shelves, manage inventory levels, and ensure the sales floor remains clean and inviting Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy Support cashiering duties with basic math skills for accurate transactions and change calculation Perform routine store tasks such as stocking new merchandise and assisting with store resets as needed Skills Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with merchandising and stock management is a plus Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead team members is advantageous for growth opportunities Excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally over the phone Experience in product demos or upselling techniques that enhance customer experience and increase sales Knowledge of retail math concepts for balancing registers and managing inventory levels effectively Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and customer focus Appliance experience preffered Join us today to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-notch appliance solutions!
