Music & Arts seeks a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support students, parents, and educators in our retail store. In this role, you'll drive sales of band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and private lessons while delivering expert, student-focused service. You'll maintain merchandising standards, support inventory, and handle POS transactions accurately. Collaborating with a collaborative, education-driven team, you'll help promote lessons and school partnerships, contribute to store events, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment that inspires music-making in the community. Responsibilities Drive retail sales of instruments, accessories, and lessons to meet store goals Deliver knowledgeable, student-focused service to parents, educators, and musicians Support rentals, returns, and special orders with accurate POS and paperwork Maintain merchandising standards, pricing, and product displays Promote private lessons and educational programs to new and existing customers Collaborate with store and school service teams on events and outreach Assist with inventory counts, stocking, and loss prevention procedures Resolve customer issues professionally and escalate complex concerns Support opening/closing procedures and daily cash handling Uphold a welcoming, inclusive, music-focused store environment Required Skills Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer service Product knowledge - musical instruments Inventory management Merchandising Cash handling Sales reporting Conflict resolution Upselling and cross-selling
