The Farmstead Market•Customer Service Associate Job Description The Farmstead Market is looking for a Retail Customer Service Associate for our family-owned market in Clayton, GA, where we sell our American Wagyu beef, our All-Jersey dairy products and other locally sourced meats and gourmet food items.

Requirements :

Retail Experience•preferably with food products Familiarity with POS Systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Customer service focused Team player•willing to work with family owners, manager, and other employees

Responsibilities :

High level of customer service Operate the POS System (SQUARE) and cash register Run day-to-day operations of the market, including restocking of products, answering phone calls, returning messages, and taking orders Communicate with supervisors regarding custom orders Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed Maintain a clean working environment and retail space Work with the Blue Ridge Meats Staff to stock meat each week

Hours and Compensation :

Wed-Saturday 9:45•5:45 (32 hours) 30-minute paid lunch break unless taken off premises (may be interrupted and need to be taken in chunks) Duties Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection and answering questions Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cashiering and cash handling transactions while maintaining accuracy in retail math Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked Support inventory management through stocking, organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks to ensure product availability Engage customers via phone communication to answer inquiries about products or store services and promote ongoing sales Apply organizational skills to keep the sales floor clean, safe, and inviting for all visitors while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Prior experience in retail sales is preferred Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math to ensure smooth transactions Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stocking tasks Customer service mindset with a friendly demeanor and effective phone communication skills

Pay:

$12.00•$14.00 per hour
