Music & Arts seeks a Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service in our retail store. You will guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, repairs, accessories, and lessons. Responsibilities include achieving sales goals, managing POS transactions, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting lesson and rental programs. You'll collaborate with school service reps, support local music education events, and help train junior staff while modeling our student-focused, community-oriented culture. Responsibilities Deliver knowledgeable, student-focused customer service to musicians, parents, and educators Guide customers in selecting instruments, rentals, repairs, accessories, and lessons Meet or exceed individual and store sales and rental goals Process sales, rentals, and lesson enrollments through POS systems accurately Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and product stock on the sales floor Support lesson and rental program operations, including scheduling and paperwork Collaborate with school service representatives to support local school music programs Assist with in-store and community music events and outreach activities Help train and mentor junior sales associates on products and sales processes Uphold store policies, loss prevention standards, and a clean, safe environment Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge - musical instruments Merchandising and stocking Sales reporting and goal tracking Lesson and rental program administration Communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills (email, scheduling, CRM/POS)
