Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Ink Technician to join our team! This role is crucial in maintaining ink quality and managing waste systems to ensure efficiency and high standards in our printing operations. You will be responsible for ink formulation, color consistency, troubleshooting, and maintaining a steady supply of inks and related materials. If you have a keen eye for color accuracy, strong technical aptitude, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply! This is a 2nd shift position from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The starting wage of $19.75 includes a 2nd shift, shift differential. Key Responsibilities Create and manage ink formulas to meet PMS and customer specifications. Ensure color consistency and accuracy by applying principles of color and appearance. Troubleshoot and correct color issues in collaboration with production teams. Order and stock ink, chemicals, parts, and other supplies. Process and treat waste ink by separating ink from water. Maintain and repair ink dispensers and waste system components. Handle and move heavy materials (10-2,250 pounds) using appropriate tools. Monitor and manage return ink inventory. Operate and maintain press equipment, pumps, and valves. Conduct monthly inventory and consignment tracking. Perform power washing of plates and equipment as required. Work closely with supervisors, operators, and quality control teams to resolve color-related issues. Provide on-call remote support for urgent quality and mechanical concerns.
