Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Store Associate, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a welcoming environment for customers and ensure smooth store operations. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to meet their needs and answer product inquiries. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Assist with product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Conduct regular stock checks, manage inventory levels, and assist with stock replenishment to keep the store fully stocked. Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support sales goals through proactive upselling and suggestive selling techniques to maximize revenue. Perform cashiering duties efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures and retail math principles. Collaborate with team members, including supervising experience if applicable, to ensure smooth store operations. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS transactions are necessary. Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures enhances efficiency in processing transactions. Experience in merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and customer service is highly desirable. Demonstrated phone etiquette and excellent interpersonal skills are important for creating positive customer interactions. Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude is essential.
