Cashier/Sales Associate Quick stop food and liquor 2 Beach Park, IL Job Details Part-time $15 - $16 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Retail sales transactions Retail customer service procedures Cash register operations Retail store experience POS systems Full Job Description Store Associate / Cashier We are looking for a reliable and experienced Store Associate / Cashier to join our team at our convenience and liquor store Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid BASSET certification to legally serve and sell alcohol Previous experience working in a convenience store liquor store or similar retail environment is required Must have experience operating a lottery machine Must have experience using a cash register and POS system Must be comfortable handling cash and providing accurate change A background check will be required as part of the hiring process Must be reliable responsible and professional with customers Job Responsibilities Operate the cash register and POS system accurately Sell lottery tickets and operate the lottery machine Handle cash and credit and debit transactions Stock shelves and keep the store clean and organized Strictly check IDs for anyone who may be underage Never sell alcohol or other age restricted products to anyone who is underage Follow all state and local laws regarding the sale of alcohol and lottery products Provide friendly and professional customer service Help maintain a safe and clean store environment Important Following age verification and alcohol sale laws is a critical part of this position Employees are expected to consistently and properly check IDs and follow all store policies We are looking for someone dependable who already understands the responsibilities of working in a convenience and liquor store
