Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven Retail Sales Associate to join our luxury jewelry showroom. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys building lasting client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping clients celebrate life's most meaningful moments through fine jewelry. Our store specializes in lab-grown diamonds, bridal jewelry, custom-designed engagement rings, wedding bands, and handcrafted gold and diamond jewelry. The ideal candidate will combine a passion for luxury sales with a consultative approach that focuses on understanding each client's unique needs and style. The hours for this position will be scheduled on a monthly basis, with shifts required between 9:30am and 5:30pm weekdays and 9:30am and 4:30pm on Saturdays. Key Responsibilities Deliver a luxury client experience from initial greeting through purchase and follow-up. Educate clients on lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, bridal jewelry, custom design options, and fine jewelry collections. Assist customers in selecting engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary gifts, and other fine jewelry pieces. Build and maintain long-term client relationships through outreach, follow-up, and exceptional service. Support custom jewelry projects by gathering client preferences and collaborating with store owner and in-house jeweler. Maintain product knowledge regarding gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, and current jewelry trends. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Assist with merchandising, visual displays, inventory management, and showroom presentation. Participate in store events, client appointments, and promotional activities. Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Handle jewelry intake for repairs, inspections, and special orders. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience required; luxury retail or jewelry sales experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Professional appearance and polished presentation. Comfortable learning and discussing diamond grading, gemstones, precious metals, and custom jewelry design. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. Experience with social media marketing preferred.
