Job Description

A cannabis budtender is a specialized retail professional in a dispensary who assists customers in selecting, understanding, and purchasing cannabis products. Often described as a hybrid between a customer service representative and a knowledgeable guide, they are responsible for creating a welcoming, safe, and educational experience.
Key Responsibilities Customer Education & Service:
Greeting customers, guiding them through product choices (strains, edibles, concentrates) based on needs, preferences, and desired effects.
Product Knowledge:
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on inventory, including cannabis flower cultivars, terpenes, cannabinoids, and consumption methods.
Compliance & Safety:
Verifying IDs to ensure legal age, adhering to state-specific purchase limits, and following strict, location-specific regulations.
Operations:
Using point-of-sale (POS) systems, processing cash/card transactions, weighing, packaging, and labeling products.
Inventory & Maintenance:
Restocking shelves, cleaning the sales floor, and organizing displays to maintain a professional atmosphere.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
