Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their interests, and recommend books tailored to their preferences Maintain organized shelves by stocking new arrivals, restocking popular titles, and ensuring attractive displays through merchandising Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy using POS systems Assist with inventory management by stock counting, tracking stock levels, and processing stock transfers or returns Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about store products, policies, and upcoming events Support promotional activities such as upselling related items or store memberships to enhance customer experience Skills Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse communities Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing transactions efficiently Familiarity with retail store product knowledge across books, stationery, or related merchandise Previous retail experience is advantageous but not required This energetic position invites motivated individuals eager to share their love of books while developing essential retail skills.
