Full Job Description Role Overview:
This position involves functioning as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with responsibilities including customer service, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store presentation. In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, the role may involve supervisory duties such as authorizing refunds, managing cash, and ensuring security procedures.
Key Duties:
Unload and stock merchandise, implement plan-o-grams, and assist with merchandise displays. Provide excellent customer service, assist with locating products, and operate cash register functions. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms. Handle cash transactions, make change, and manage register accountability in managerial absence. Assist with opening and closing store procedures, including bank deposits and paperwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to perform basic math, handle cash accurately, and operate a cash register. Knowledge of safety policies, security practices, and proper stock management. Effective communication skills and the ability to follow plan-o-grams and presentation guidelines.
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Six months of supervisory or related experience recommended.
