University Residences Student Office Staff (SOS)•Fall 2025•Student Clerical Job Summary Remuneration $10.00/hour Hours/Week Weekly average, must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Includes days, weekends, evenings, over nights, and holidays. Must be able to return to campus approx.. 2 weeks before classes start in the fall and spring semesters to attend required training and stay through Senior Week (the week following finals) in May. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University. Customer service oriented Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail Proven problem-solving skills Position Responsibilities exhibit friendliness, diplomacy, and tact in responding to customers ability to handle emergency situations and prioritize responsibilities, while continuing to provide the highest level of customer service to our residents maintain competency in the operation, including proper check-in/check-out procedures for residents and checking out equipment as appropriate assists the hall clerk with items such as distributing pertinent information to residents regarding upcoming events (i.e. bulletins, programs, and messages) attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain relevant information maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information, report violations of university and/or University Residences policy exercise accountability for the proper handling and security of all issued keys, safe access, as well as hall property (i.e., hall equipment). other duties as assigned Apply now
