Job Description

Kansas Ink & Thread is hiring a dependable, organized person to help operate our Bonner Springs retail store and shipping counter. Prepare quotes and enter customer orders accurately. Review names, quantities, sizes, colors, item numbers, dates, and other order details. Accept payments and assist customers picking up completed orders. Maintain Bonner Springs school apparel, Kansas souvenir merchandise, and other retail inventory. Restock merchandise and identify products that need to be reordered. Maintain corresponding products and inventory in our online store. Help create and maintain customer and organization stores through DecoNetwork. Assist customers with package shipping through the carriers and services offered at our shipping counter. Accurately enter names, addresses, package measurements, weights, and shipping selections. Accept shipping payments and provide customers with receipts and tracking information. Maintain shipping supplies, including boxes, mailers, tape, labels, and packing materials. Keep the shipping counter, retail floor, displays, and storage areas clean and organized. Assist with communication and basic coordination involving our local crafter booths. Help with Bonner Springs-area marketing, promotions, and community outreach. Communicate clearly with our other locations and production team.
Required qualifications:
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software systems. Accurate spelling, typing, address entry, and data entry. Excellent attention to detail. Professional written and verbal communication. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Friendly, patient, and confident customer service. Ability to manage several tasks while keeping customer and shipping information accurate. Willingness to ask questions instead of guessing when information is unclear. Ability to handle payments, packages, and customer information responsibly. Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 30 pounds. Experience with retail, shipping, customer service, order entry, e-commerce, apparel, printing, embroidery, or social media is helpful but not required. We will train the right person on our products, systems, and shipping procedures. The right person will confidently manage the front counter's day-to-day responsibilities and understand that accuracy is critical when processing custom orders and customer shipments To apply, please send your résumé and a short message explaining why you would be a good fit for this position to andrew@kansasink.com
