Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and retail sales, with the ability to engage customers effectively. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Demonstrate product knowledge through effective product demos to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems. Maintain an organized sales floor by restocking shelves and ensuring products are displayed attractively. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations. Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and promotions. Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and customer interactions while maintaining phone etiquette during calls. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, especially in a grocery store setting. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. A friendly demeanor with a willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store.
