Job description Green Street is now looking for experienced, passionate, and knowledgeable individuals to join our family and serve as Budtenders for our Portland location. Position Summary:
Budtenders are responsible for interacting with customers and teaching them about cannabis and the products currently available at the dispensary. Budtenders do not provide customers with medical advice, but rather educate and provide them with the information and resources necessary to make informed decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform one-on-one consultations with patients.
  • Assist patients in selecting products best suited for their individual needs.
  • Answer and address questions, comments, or concerns related to medical cannabis.
  • Educate patients on the different types of products at the dispensary and their associated dosages, benefits, risks, and routes of administration.
  • Document and maintain patient health information in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Attend seminars and events to stay current on the cannabis industry.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Report signs of abuse or addiction to management or the appropriate authority.
  • Work collectively and respectfully with other staff members.
  • Maintain the consultation room in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations imposed by law.
  • Support management and other departments when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry
  • Previous experience counseling patients
  • Previous experience in the cannabis or hemp industry (preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other software systems
  • In-depth understanding of medical cannabis and its effect on the human body
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
Addition Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Work Schedule:
General work schedule ranges between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Some ability to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the business is required.
