About the position: Maria's Gourmet is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused cashier to join our team at our marblehead store. As one of the first people our customers interact with, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience and making sure each customer leaves happy. Responsibilities warmly greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service accurately process cash, credit/debit, and other payments operate the point-of-sale system answer customer questions about products and assist with recommendations package and present food and retail items neatly keep the register and front counter clean and organized restock products and assist with maintaining an organized store communicate customer needs and special requests to the rest of the team follow food safety, cleanliness, and store procedures help with general tasks around the store as needed What we're looking for: friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers reliable and punctual strong attention to detail comfortable handling money and operating a register able to work efficiently in a busy environment team-oriented with a positive attitude previous cashier, retail, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred, but not required interest in food and hospitality is a plus What we offer: competitive hourly pay plus tips flexible scheduling a friendly, close-knit team employee opportunities to learn about our food and products opportunity to grow with a local, family-owned business Why work at Maria's Gourmet?
