Budtender / Retail Operations (Nights & Weekends)

Potency is looking for a budtender to join our retail team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the ideal candidate would be looking for part time hours to start, with a strong chance of moving to full time in the long run. Reliable transportation, a flexible schedule and the ability to cover call outs / fill in as a front desk associate is also welcome and would lead to more hours overall. Job Summary As a Budtender at Potency, you will be expected to provide best-in-class service that consistently exceeds consumer expectations. This position requires strong customer engagement skills with a thorough understanding of cannabis. The ideal candidate will provide expert cannabis recommendations and have a desire to learn and educate customers. The position will be customer facing in a retail setting and as such is focused on sales and customer service. Depending on skill-set and interest, this candidate will be trained in other aspects of the business such as inventory management, including product intake or marketing, with the end goal being someone who can wear multiple hats and move up within the company. Our current needs are for a part time employee that has a flexible schedule, reliable transportation and is comfortable working days, nights and weekends on a regular basis . This persons schedule will vary between 14-18 hours per week depending on availability. We do our best to ensure consistent schedules whenever possible, but this is a dynamic retail setting and as such things can change based on the needs of the business at a given time. Job Duties & Responsibilities Provide customer service that builds long-term rapports within the community Provide expert knowledge on all cannabis recommendations Discuss product effects, potency, dosing, and methods of consumption with customers Accurately receive, prepare, and complete orders and sales Always maintain proper cash handling procedures Maintain accurate records including customer records in accordance with the Cannabis Control Commission of Massachusetts as well as any regulations set forth by local, state, or federal agencies. Assist with stocking and cleaning during down time Other Requirements Ensure self and uniform clothing are clean and professional Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for a distance of 50 feet Must pass stringent state background check requirements Minimum of 21 years of age required by law Possess valid driver's license or state ID card Ability to reliably work both nights and weekends.
