Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to ensure a positive shopping experience. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely. Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity. Assist customers with product inquiries, offering knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when appropriate. Engage in upselling by suggesting additional items or promotions to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-presented through merchandising and stocking efforts. Support inventory management by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and managing product displays. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information to customers remotely. Promote a friendly shopping environment by communicating clearly and actively listening to customer needs. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure store standards are met or exceeded. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential. Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts. Experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional remote communication. Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining customer satisfaction. Knowledge of retail math principles for accurate cash handling and sales reporting. A proactive attitude towards customer service with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
