Music Lesson Coordinator & Retail Associate/Piano Salesman Artist Music Center Nottingham, MD Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Music E-commerce High school diploma or GED Social media platforms Working with students Piano Desktop applications Retail sales Full Job Description Artist Music Center is a retail music store and piano showroom in Nottingham, Md, near the Avenue at White Marsh. Established as a companion company to Artist Music Academy, a music academy with music lessons at 3 locations, Artist Music Center is seeking to expand its retail sales beyond the student base at Artist Music Academy. The primary focus is piano sales, but other items sold include musical instruments, musical accessories, books and sheet music, service and repair packages, lesson packages, and more. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with the scheduling of students and teachers at multiple locations, enforcing policies, and collecting tuition payments. In addition, the successful candidate will work to expand Artist Music's piano sales and other retail sales without compromising Artist Music's core value of generating interest and lover for the musical arts. In addition, the successful candidate will help increase online sales. Previous experience in sales is desired, as is previous experience with the music industry. A level of comfort with computers, including social media and desktop publishing, is a must. Applicants with college degrees in music will also be eligible to work as an instructor at one or more of the Artist Music Academy locations. This position is hourly with additional commissions for sales. A successful employee employee will see commission income that far exceeds hourly income.
