Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Sales Associate and become the friendly face of our retail environment! In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demos and upselling opportunities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible Conduct stock replenishment and stocking activities to keep the sales floor well-stocked and inviting Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using clear communication skills Demonstrate proficiency in phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Support store operations through cashiering duties, basic math calculations for transactions, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed Experience Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Supervising experience is a plus, especially in leading small teams or training new staff members Familiarity with POS systems and retail math enhances efficiency in daily tasks Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude are essential for success in this role This is a paid position committed to providing valuable experience in retail operations.
