A Retail Sales Associate sells merchandise or products in a retail store. Provides information about store merchandise, assists customers with finding items and encourages sales.
The Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, conducts sales and merchandising, and may be assigned other duties. The position requires regular Saturday work hours. The Sales Associate is expected to perform all responsibilities professionally and ethically to achieve a safe, positive customer experience and to ensure the continual improvement of the ReStore's reputation, productivity, and profitability. The Driver is expected to coordinate merchandise/donation pick-ups including route management, scheduling, ensuring the truck is fueled up, communicating schedule and timeframes with donors. Providing excellent service and experience.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations - Under the direction of the ReStore Manager, provide excellent customer service experience, conduct product sales, and assist in merchandising and maintenance of the sales floor and facilities.
Cleanliness of sales floor area:
floors, bathrooms, windows, shelves Sales transactions Answering phones promptly Cleaning of all donated and purchased products Pricing of all small items (large furniture and other items to be supervised by the assistant manager) Reorganization of aisles and shelves to maintain a clean and neat display of items. Lifting and moving of furniture, doors and other large items. Coordinate and schedule merchandise pick-ups Other Duties as assigned Work Environment -The mission work of Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity is dependent upon available funding, core values of HFHI, community need and the opportunity to serve, collaborate and/or partner with others; therefore, while the primary responsibilities of the job remain standard, from time to time, the specific tasks can and will vary.
Minimum Requirements:
One year retail sales experience, preferably in a home or building products industry. DIY/Home improvement and/r construction experience a plus. Ability to successfully complete a criminal background and national sex offender registry screening. Ability pass a drug screening A valid driver's license and unrestricted driving record. The ability to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time. The ability to repetitively lift and move a minimum of 35-50lbs. The ability to work independently in an organized fashion, in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity is a faith-based organization.
