Cashier / Sales Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our international market team. This role combines front-end cashier duties with sales floor support, helping create a welcoming environment while assisting customers with a diverse range of global products.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service Process transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods securely Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about international foods and items Provide basic product knowledge, including ingredients and common uses Restock shelves and maintain organized, well-stocked displays Monitor product freshness, expiration dates, and overall quality Bag items carefully, considering fragile or perishable goods Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and sales floor Support store operations, including merchandising and promotional displays Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Interest in international foods and cultures

Working Conditions:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods May be required to lift up to 25-50 pounds Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
