Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently processing transactions. You will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience by assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and promoting additional products through upselling techniques. A strong understanding of retail math and basic math skills is essential, as well as proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience. Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system, including cash handling and credit card processing. Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed. Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies while ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Adhere to all company policies regarding phone etiquette and customer interactions. Experience Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required. Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus. Experience with POS systems is advantageous for efficient transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as they can enhance communication with diverse clientele.
