In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a key part in creating a welcoming, informative, and positive shopping experience. You'll handle transactions, assist with product knowledge and demonstrations, maintain store cleanliness, and contribute to sales through effective upselling. If you enjoy customer interaction, have strong communication skills, and are interested in the smoke shop industry, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their shopping experience Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions following proper cash-handling procedures Educate customers through product demonstrations and recommendations Upsell products in a helpful, customer-focused manner Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store at all times Perform cleaning duties throughout the shift and before closing (mopping, vacuuming, cleaning glass displays, countertops, etc.) Restock merchandise and stay up to date on current and new inventory Monitor popular items and customer requests for potential new products Answer customer questions professionally, including phone inquiries when needed Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals and maintain high customer service standards Requirements Previous retail or customer service experience preferred Experience with POS systems and cash handling Strong basic math skills Excellent communication and social skills (engaging with every customer is essential) Ability to confidently upsell and explain product features and benefits Familiarity with vaping and smoking products is a plus; willingness to learn is required Reliable transportation required Must be 21 years of age or older (no exceptions) Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Benefits Part-time and/or full-time opportunities Consistent scheduling (no last-minute changes) Opportunity to pick up extra shifts Chill, laid-back work environment Regular customers and a strong community vibe No hard sales quotas Music-friendly atmosphere Casual dress code Hands-on product knowledge (vapes, glass, CBD, accessories, and more) Industry experience in a growing market Compliance and ID-checking training Transferable customer service and sales skills Join our team and be part of a welcoming environment where your contributions truly make an impact.
