The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and will be responsible for enhancing the shopping experience through effective communication and product knowledge. This role requires a proactive approach to upselling and maintaining the store's appearance while ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Perform product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, driving sales through effective communication. Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining an attractive store layout. Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, handling cash transactions with care. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries, ensuring all interactions are professional and helpful. Promote additional products and enhance the overall customer experience. Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment. Qualifications Previous experience in The UPS Store or retail sales is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers or POS systems is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
