Do you appreciate the beauty of pottery, garden statues, and water fountains? Are you passionate about helping customers enhance their indoor and outdoor spaces? Gertens Retail Store in Inver Grove Heights is seeking Seasonal Sales Associates to join our Pottery Department!

This is a seasonal opportunity to be part of a supportive, energetic team in a positive, customer-focused retail environment. Whether you have experience or are eager to learn, were happy to train the right candidates who are excited to grow with us!

We are seeking candidates who are able to start prior to May and are flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

What Youll Do:

Create and maintain a warm, inviting, and easy-to-navigate shopping environment.

Assist and guide customers in selecting pottery, fountains, and garden dcor that fit their style and needs.

Keep the store and outdoor yard neat, organized, and safe for both guests and team members.

Process sales efficiently using our POS system, including cashiering, order entry, and tracking deliveries.

Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage for all merchandise.

Deliver an exceptional shopping experience that leaves customers feeling inspired and excited to return.

Continuously build product knowledge to provide expert guidance and recommendations.

Work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and support team goals.

What Youll Need:

A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with a variety of customers.

Seeking candidates that have knowledge in pottery and materials, cement, cash iron, fiber clay ect.

Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and collaborate within a team environment.

Candidates must be 16 years of age to apply.

Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and wind.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.

Frequently use hands to handle merchandise and reach with arms.

Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (this role involves regular lifting).Must have color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
