Job Overview We are seeking a part - time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have great customer service and experience in retail operations. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with inquiries. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions. Maintain accurate cash handling practices and ensure the register is balanced at the end of each shift. Knowledge about products to educate customers about features and benefits. Perform stocking duties to replenish inventory on the sales floor as needed. Utilize basic math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment. The ability to want to learn new things and assist customers with projects. Skills Strong communication skills communicate with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales and computer skills. Knowledge of basic math and retail math concepts for transaction accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced hardware store environment while maintaining attention to detail.
