Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when necessary. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and confidence using POS systems. Stock shelves and organize displays to ensure the store remains attractive, accessible, and well-merchandised. Upsell complementary products by understanding customer needs and promoting relevant items to maximize sales opportunities. Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent customer service. Skills Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases. Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately. Experience in supervising or leading team members is preferred but not required. Familiarity with upselling techniques and conducting product demos to enhance sales performance. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors. Previous grocery store or retail sales experience is advantageous for understanding fast-paced environments.
