About the role We are a liquor store in Raytown, MO looking for a dependable and customer-friendly Cashier to join our team. You will be the face of our store — processing transactions, keeping shelves stocked, and making sure every customer leaves with a great experience. What you'll do Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service Operate the POS/cash register accurately — handle cash, credit/debit cards, and EBT transactions Verify customer age (21+) per Missouri state law before selling alcohol or tobacco products Maintain a clean, organized counter and sales floor throughout your shift Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed Assist with Missouri Lottery ticket sales and payouts (training provided) Reconcile cash drawer at the start and end of each shift Follow all store safety, loss prevention, and compliance procedures Report any maintenance, safety, or inventory concerns to the manager What we're looking for Must be 21+ for alcohol sales compliance Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Basic math skills and comfort handling cash Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Availability to work weekends and holidays Prior retail or cashier experience preferred but not required — we will train the right person Nice to have Experience in a gas station, convenience store, or liquor store Familiarity with Missouri liquor compliance and age verification laws What we offer Competitive hourly pay ($15-$16 based on experience) Flexible scheduling Friendly, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow into a shift supervisor role
