Job Description
Job Summary:
Will provide technical and managerial supervision of the Pro Shop, snack bar, driving range, and cart fleet, etc., while promoting the game of golf by organizing special events and providing golf instruction.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Golf operations practices and procedures.
- Promotion of the standards and techniques of playing and teaching golf and of golf terminology and etiquette.
- Golf-related concessions, retail merchandising.
- Ensure appropriate office procedures, methods and equipment with particular reference to receiving and accounting for the receipt of cash.
- Knowledge of, and the ability to use, business telephone manners and techniques.
- Effectively monitor market trends in golf related sportswear and equipment and the trend in relation to the course's customers.
- Provide golf instruction as necessary.
- Enforce golf course and facilities rules and regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially.
- Effectively provide oral and written instructions and supervise subordinates in golf course and facilities operations.
- Lead and train others, and direct work through other supervisors.
- Excercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Associates and the general public.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent, and at least 3 years of experience in the field.
- Valid membership in the Professional Golfers Association.
- Work toward Class A certification is desired.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Build/maintain brand standard while developing new offerings for guests.
- A safe driving record, and a MO Class E driver's license.
