Job Description
Music & Arts is seeking a full-time Senior Sales Associate to drive revenue and deliver exceptional service in our retail store. In this role, you'll lead by example on the sales floor, advising customers on band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You'll open and close the store, support merchandising and inventory, process transactions, and help train junior associates. You'll collaborate with local schools, educators, and students, promoting our lesson programs while upholding a friendly, inclusive, and student-focused environment that supports music education in the community. Responsibilities Deliver consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Meet and exceed individual and store sales goals Open and close the store, including cash handling and reporting Maintain merchandising standards and stock levels Support and mentor junior sales associates Build relationships with students, parents, and educators Promote and enroll customers in lesson and rental programs Coordinate with repair and school service teams as needed Ensure an inclusive, student-focused store environment Handle customer issues and returns in line with policies Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge - musical instruments Merchandising and inventory basics Sales reporting and goal tracking Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication and relationship-building Problem resolution and returns processing
