Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication Assist customers in selecting the correct parts using automotive diagnostics tools and technical knowledge Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and updating inventory records using POS (Point of Sale) systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit payments, and issue receipts while maintaining cash handling procedures Provide guidance on vehicle maintenance, automotive service options, and repair procedures to ensure customer satisfaction Collaborate with the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets through effective negotiation and upselling techniques Maintain a clean, organized work area, ensuring all parts are properly stored and labeled for easy access Support dealership or retail marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product lines to customers Use Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, sales reporting, and order fulfillment documentation Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting remote or walk-in customers Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures Exceptional communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued Proven experience in retail sales environments with a focus on inventory management and POS systems Skilled in negotiation to close sales effectively while ensuring customer needs are met Familiarity with automotive service processes, dealership operations, and marketing strategies Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and reporting; strong organizational skills for stock management Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and follow cashiering protocols Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and inventory control systems Experience with automotive repair shops or dealership environments is preferred but not required Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for automobiles meets your talent for sales!
