Role Description The Clinique Consultant role at Belk is a full-time, on-site position based in Rocky Mount, NC. In this role, the consultant provides personalized skincare and cosmetic consultations, helping customers select Clinique products that meet their individual needs and preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting customers, demonstrating products, applying makeup or skincare as needed, and maintaining a clean, well-organized counter that reflects brand standards. The consultant also supports sales goals by building long-term relationships with customers, managing product replenishment, and participating in promotional events and trainings. Collaboration with store leadership and Clinique representatives is expected to ensure consistent service, product knowledge, and adherence to company and brand guidelines. Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide a welcoming, inclusive experience. Solid product knowledge and interest in skincare and cosmetics, including an understanding of skin types and basic skincare routines. Experience or aptitude in training and development, such as learning new product lines quickly and sharing information with team members. Ability to meet sales goals, handle multiple customers, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, polished presentation. Prior retail or beauty industry experience is preferred; cosmetic certification or training is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods, perform product demonstrations, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
