Waynesville Job Description The Furniture Sales Associate will be on the showroom floor interacting with customers and helping them select the perfect pieces of furniture for their needs. You will be expected to guide customers through each step of furnishing their home with the perfect furniture, rugs and accessories. It is common for a Furniture Sales Associate to have in-home consultations as well. This position is for our Waynesville location Responsibilities On the sales floor interacting with customers and helping them select the perfect piece of furniture for their needs. So being personable is important! This position is commission based role which means we are looking for someone who is comfortable in sales and earning their paychecks. We are looking for top performers who can help people reach their dream home goals through the incredible furniture we have to offer. 1. Consultative Sales Engage clients in a personalized discovery process to understand their aesthetic preferences, spatial needs, and budget. Utilize your expertise in high-end furniture construction and luxury features to guide clients toward the best investments for their homes. Educate clients on differences between vendor choices, fabrics, styles Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from the initial "dreaming" phase and detailed quoting to final order placement and follow-up. Conduct in-home design consultations (as needed) to take measurements and ensure the scale and style of selections are appropriate for the space. Collaborate with our Warehouse and Delivery Managers to provide seamless updates to clients regarding lead times and installation schedules. 3. Relationship Building Develop and maintain a "book of business" by following up with past clients and networking with local builders, architects, and independent designers. Serve as a brand ambassador, maintaining a professional and polished appearance that reflects the luxury nature of our showroom. 4. Showroom Excellence Assist in the visual merchandising of the showroom floor, ensuring vignettes are inspiring, tagged correctly, and always "guest-ready." Stay current on industry trends, color palettes, and new product launches from our premium vendors.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3+ years in high-end retail sales or residential interior design. Experience with luxury appliances or custom furniture is highly preferred.
Excellent Customer Service Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal and active listening skills. You must be comfortable discussing high-price-point investments with confidence and grace. It is imperative you are comfortable with providing our customers with exceptional customer service with quick and prompt response times.
Technical Skills:
Must be proficient in microsoft office software
Preferred Qualifications Education:
A degree or certificate in Interior Design, Art, or a related field is a significant plus. However, we will train you on the design elements of the business. Prior furniture store or furniture business experience a major plus
