Job Description

Job Summary Join Our Pack at Barks & Co! Barks & Co. is a family-owned business rooted in our love for dogs and cats. We take pride in offering top-notch products and exceptional customer service while helping educate our customers on the best options for their furry companions. We're currently looking for a dedicated, outgoing, and pet-loving team member to join us—someone who values customer care, enjoys working in a fun environment, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with product questions and provide outstanding service Accurately process transactions using our POS system and handle cash responsibly Stock shelves and create clean, organized product displays Perform basic math for sales and inventory tasks Work closely with team members to meet sales goals and deliver an enjoyable shopping experience Share product knowledge and promote store specials Be based primarily at our West Jefferson location, but able to help in Blowing Rock as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and communication skills Experience with retail sales and handling cash Must be able to work weekends. Comfort with basic and retail math Familiarity with stocking and merchandising Ability to use a register and POS system Dog lover is a MUST! Pet retail experience is a plus, but not required Weekends and holidays required. If you're punctual, positive, passionate about pets, and ready to help people spoil their furry friends, we'd love to hear from you!
