What You'll Do:

Leader:

Open and close the shop with confidence and take charge of daily operations.

Deliver Amazing Customer Service:

Help shoppers find the perfect gift, share knowledge about backyard birding, and make every visit special.

Keep Us Stocked & Organized:

Check in new products, tag them, and get them on the sales floor quickly. Keep the store tidy and inviting.

Stay Connected:

Send end-of-day recap emails and create daily task lists to keep everything running smoothly.

Merchandising Magic:

Create beautiful product displays to inspire customers. Other Duties as

Needed:

Every day is a little different in retail—be ready to jump in where help is needed!

What We're Looking For:

At least 1 year of retail experience (bonus points if you've been in a leadership role). Attention to detail —you notice when a display needs fixing or stock is running low. A self-starter who can work independently and stay motivated, even during slower times. A people person who loves helping customers and creating a positive experience. Someone who can stand for extended periods and lift items when needed. Willing to learn about backyard birding and help educate customers on feeding the birds. Ability to occasionally work in our York, ME location is a plus!

Hours & Location:

We're looking for one person to work 2-3 days including Saturdays. Some training will take place in York, ME, but you'll primarily be running our Portsmouth location on your own. Position runs April-December. If you're excited about working in a beautiful shop filled with nature-inspired gifts and backyard birding essentials, we'd love to hear from you!
