About the Role As a Budtender, you're the face of Organic Farms. You'll guide customers through their experience, share what you know about products, and help create a store environment that's welcoming, informed, and worth coming back to. We want people who take ownership. Who notice what needs doing and do it. Who support their teammates without being asked. Who are here to build the store's success, not just complete a shift. What You'll Do Greet and engage every customer with warmth and genuine curiosity about what they need. Educate customers on products, strains, terpenes, and consumption methods in a way that's approachable and personalized. Drive sales with confidence, meet and beat daily goals by upselling thoughtfully, highlighting deals and complementary items, and using your product knowledge to guide every purchase. Build a loyal community, remember your regulars, enroll customers in our loyalty program, and give every customer a reason to come back. Handle transactions accurately using our POS system (Dutchie) and maintain compliance with all NJ state regulations. Support opening and closing procedures, handle cash accurately, and follow all store and state compliance requirements. Keep the dispensary properly stocked, clean, tidy, and in operating order, whether it's slow or slammed. Resolve customer questions and concerns quickly and professionally; escalate to management when needed. Show up for your team, contribute to an upbeat, respectful atmosphere on and off the floor. Cross-train on front and back of house operations, including inventory and online order fulfillment. Stay current on new products, promotions, and what's happening in the industry. Step up without being asked, if something needs doing, you do it. What We're Looking For 21+ years of age; ability to pass an NJ state background check and obtain a CRC badge. 1-3 years in retail, hospitality, pharmacy, or customer service, cannabis experience is a strong plus. High school diploma or GED required. Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including nights and weekends. Reliable transportation to our Camden location. Strong communication skills and a genuine customer-first mindset, positive and solution-oriented even when things get tough. Comfortable in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Effective de-escalation and conflict resolution skills; calm and composed under pressure. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to shift priorities without missing a beat. Solid time management, you stay on top of your responsibilities without being reminded. Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new tools as we grow. Proactive by default, you see gaps and fill them without waiting for direction. Nice to Have Ganjier Certification, or actively working toward it - we value candidates who are invested in deepening their cannabis expertise. Social Media Organic Farms is building its brand in public, and our budtenders are part of that. You may be asked to contribute to our social presence in the following ways: Capture and share authentic in-store moments, product highlights, and promotions on Organic Farms' official accounts (Instagram and others) in line with brand guidelines. Engage with customers online, respond to comments, answer questions via DMs, and help foster a community that reflects the experience we create in store.
